Job Title: Reality Labs End to End Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Perform network audits to evaluate: Capacity usage (BW, space, power, etc), Unused/used devices and other relevant KPI/Metrics.
- Analysis for network reports, Review network trends and suggest improvements, analyze dashboards and implement valuable KPIs.
- Deploy agents to monitor lab networks by using client tools and enriching existing data.
- Deploy dashboards to visualize KPIs from audits
- Issue resolution and support. Network troubleshoot support.
- Provide engineering support for lab environments, deploying network solutions for research teams working on early-stage AR/VR technology.
- Set up networks and systems to enable end-to-end connectivity for cloud (AWS, GCP) and home/remote/on-premises deployments.
- Conduct testing and tuning of enabled services to ensure optimal performance on devices running network-sensitive applications.
- Continuously update deployed network to meet new performance requirements, enhanced security measures, and an expanding user base
- Utilize internal tools to integrate network metrics for the identification of network issues and the monitoring of network performance, focusing on speed and latency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service incidents, identify root causes, and communicate mitigation steps to customers.
- Troubleshoot issues related to the network, devices, and platforms, and follow up on cases with vendor support when necessary.
- Solid understanding of node topology, network security zones, access control list, firewalls and point-to-point tunnels (GRE, IP-sec)
- Document network and system solutions, including topology, traffic flow, configurations, and methods of procedure (MOPs) and facilitate handoff of operation to other teams (i.e On the job training).
- Collaborate closely with client teams to resolve reported issues, identify temporary solutions for critical blockers, and validate fixes.
- Work with cross-functional (XFN) teams to facilitate network installations, obtain security approvals, and internal tooling assistance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide network infrastructure support for the preparation of customer trials or demonstrations.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. CCNA, CCIE, or similar a plus.
- Substantial work experience responsible for deploying and operating on Tier-1 network operators
- Experience working in a multi-vendor and multi-technologies environments for wired and wireless networks. Previous experience with network equipment vendor products (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Arista, OEM) a plus.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting complex issues both at the device-level and network-level, in a multi-vendor environment. Able to isolate and identify configuration, design and product issues.
- Experience on Linux based systems using networking tools (tcpdump, wireshark, iperf), scripting and automation.
- Experience working within virtual environments, using hypervisors (ESXi) and deploying virtual infrastructure for high-performance network operations.
- Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP) utilizing tools such as Terraform for infrastructure-as-code to provision secure and scalable deployments to communicate to remote networks.
- Experience with python scripting / ansible for scripting and automation.
- Ability to "read code" as source documentation
- DevOps CI/CD mindset for automation and scale. Experience working with VSCode or CI/CD systems, managing code repositories and using essential source control commands.
- Hands-on experience with network testing emulators: Spirent, IXIA, R&S. 2.18.2.8.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience.
