At present, there are 4 Seasons Supermarket locations & 4 Convenience store models across the Tri-State area with plans to expand. Role Overview: As a Receiver, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, verification, and storage of all incoming products. You will ensure that all goods are accurately logged, stored, and made available for sale in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Operations:
- Oversee the receipt of all incoming products, ensuring accurate verification against purchase orders and invoices.
- Manage the unloading of delivery trucks and the inspection of goods for quality and quantity discrepancies.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure all received goods are accurately logged into the inventory management system.
- Coordinate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Storage and Organization:
- Supervise the proper storage of products in designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space and adherence to safety standards.
- Implement and maintain organization systems to ensure easy access and retrieval of products.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming products for damages, defects, or discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
- Ensure all products meet the supermarket's quality standards before they are made available for sale.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the receiving team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all receiving operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the receiving area.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as purchasing, inventory control, and sales, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and logistics partners to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
