At eBay, we’re more than a global e‑commerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of e‑commerce for enthusiasts. Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We’re in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet. Who We Are Goldin, an eBay company, is the leading collectibles marketplace platform, with millions of customers globally. Our mission is to be the most trusted destination for collectors of trading cards, memorabilia, comics, video games and more. To accomplish this, we always put collectors first and hire the very best to join our team. Goldin would not be what it is today without our amazing employees — from consignment directors to customer support and everyone in between. We take great pride in hiring and developing top talent who can add to our culture and believe in our vision. What You’ll Do The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing the intake of all consignment items—whether through shipped packages or in‑person drop‑offs—at Goldin HQ. This individual will report to the Receiving Manager and work closely with the Inventory team, Auction Management, and Sales teams to ensure all consignments are processed efficiently, prioritized appropriately, and flagged for any necessary authentication. Key Responsibilities Consignment Intake & Documentation Check in packages using established protocols, ensuring accuracy in assigning Opportunity IDs for tracking purposes. Review consignment documentation and flag any "exceptions" where consignments are missing essential information or are not attached to an Opportunity ID. Sort consignments based on value and urgency, ensuring that high‑value or "elite" consignments are processed with priority over standard weekly items. Identify consignments arriving from the PSA Vault and properly assign items to existing Opportunity IDs. Authentication & Third‑Party Coordination Check incoming consignments for any required authentication and prioritize these items for evaluation ahead of the auction launch. Manage shipments from third‑party graders or authenticators (e.g., PSA, Beckett, JSA) and ensure these items are integrated back into the auction workflow promptly. Handle the intake of returned items, ensuring they are processed accurately and communicated to the relevant teams for next steps. Collaborate with the Authentication team to move high‑value or flagged items quickly through the verification process. Collaboration with Inventory & Receiving Teams Work closely with the Receiving Manager and Inventory team to ensure accurate logging of all incoming items and their proper distribution within the auction pipeline. Coordinate with the Receiving Manager to distribute workflow across team members, ensuring high‑efficiency processing of incoming consignments. Communicate directly with the Sales team to organize and prioritize consignments that are dropped off in person, ensuring they are immediately accounted for. Quality Control & Reporting Conduct initial quality checks on consignments upon receipt, identifying any potential damages or missing components. Communicate with the Consignor Support team regarding flagged issues or missing documentation for rapid resolution. Track and report on the status of received consignments, including those from third‑party graders or authenticators, ensuring all intake records are up to date. Organization & Logistics Management Maintain organized records of all incoming consignments, including items from third‑party graders or authenticators and returns. Help streamline receiving processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements to ensure a faster, more accurate intake system. Assist with inventory organization, ensuring that all received items are properly logged, stored, and ready for transfer to photography, cataloging, or authentication teams as needed. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in receiving, inventory management, or logistics, ideally in a fast‑paced, high‑value environment. Experience managing shipments from third‑party graders or authenticators is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling consignments of significant monetary value. Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Inventory, and Authentication. Strong problem‑solving abilities, especially when handling exceptions or discrepancies in consignment documentation. Familiarity with consignment management software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage workflow efficiently under tight deadlines. Additional Details The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $35,600 – $62,500 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). If hired, employees will be in an “at‑will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
