JOB DESCRIPTION:

The receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients and visitors of the Health Department. The position is 15 -20 hours per week with a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting in person and on the telephone, answering questions and referring questions to other staff members.
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages and courier deliveries and distributes items.
  • Performs routine clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Process walk-in birth certificates requests.

Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the public and employees.
  • Basic word processing, spreadsheet and database skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and be a part of the team.
  • Ability to be flexible and multi-task.
  • Dependable and responsible.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Spanish bilingual preferred.

Benefits

  • Starting pay $11,575 - $15,444 annually.
  • Eligible for paid time off and holiday pay based on hours worked.
  • Eligible for annual bilingual stipend (if applicable).
