Multiple positions available for our adult and children's units:

  • Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday - Day Shift (6:30am-7pm) and Night Shift (6:30am-7pm)
  • Every other Wednesday and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - Day Shift (6:30am-7pm) and Night Shift (6:30am-7pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach/train recovery skills and recovery tools (e.g. WRAP, etc.) individually and/or in a class setting.
  • Model personal responsibility, self-advocacy and hopefulness via telling of their story, how needs are respectfully met, and how a belief in self is maintained.
  • Courteously provides assistance in a concise, informative manner, keeping a positive tone and appropriate non-verbals.
  • Exhibits a non-judgmental approach, effective listening, good eye contact and positive interactions.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all guest information.
  • May receive new guests by obtaining information, circumstances of visit and related referral information. Assists in the preparation of and recording of the recovery planning process and the documentation of the progress of that plan.
  • Assists in completing guest admissions to the facility including: (a) securing and managing guest and visitor personal items in detail; (b) checking guests and visitors for personal items not allowed in the Rapid Response Clinic and Living Room and securing such items; (c) management of guest behavioral emergency situations and resolves issues of guest safety; (d) perform routine triage of guests; (e) orient new guests to the center including an introduction to staff, tour of the facility, explanation of guest rights and grievances/center rules/program schedule; (f) assist guests with shower and clean up using proper infection control procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a safe guest environment by performing tasks including, but not limited to: (a) room checks (make sure beds are made and rooms are clean); (b) safety checks (removing hazardous objects and recording findings as designated); (c) monitor guests on special needs.
  • Understands and utilizes non-violent crisis intervention procedures towards the de-escalation of an agitated guest as needed. Participates in safety intervention as a last resort when de-escalation fails. Follows approved format. Assess emergency situations, notify supervisor of actual or potential problems, exercises judgment in stressful conditions and responds calmly and quickly. Displays teamwork during emergencies.
  • Follows the agency’s policies and procedures in a responsible manner consistent with the organizational mission, vision, and values.
  • Adheres to the attendance and punctuality policy.
  • Dresses in an appropriate manner with the nature of the work performed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess high school diploma or GED
  • Possess time management skills with willingness to work extra hours when necessary.
  • Current Oklahoma Operator’s Drivers License
  • Core competencies with co-occurring disorders and grasp of community based mental health services
  • Successful completion of required training as well as the agency approved nonviolent crisis de-escalation training.
  • The physical requirements described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job: continuous standing; walking; handling; finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination; use of corrected vision; depth perception; wide field of vision; color vision; use of auditory, olfactory, and tactile senses; frequent bending over, stooping, kneeling; crouching; pushing; pulling; sitting; reaching; climbing/balancing on a step stool to reach supplies/equipment in cabinets; climbing stairs; carrying up to 25 pounds. Occasional crawling; running; pushing up to 250 pounds; pulling up to 250 pounds; lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the primary function
