Duties

Incumbent will be responsible to make Tee Times for patrons; assists customers by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations for the Gulf Winds Golf Course; assist in restocking the pro-shop inventory; perform monthly inventory counts on all food and merchandise for the pro-shop; assist in implementing golf tournaments, clinics and camps; performs starter or marshal duties as needed; ensure course is properly marked at all times; take to-go orders for the Gulf Winds Snack Bar; sale alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snack at the pro-shop; ensure bathrooms, pro-shop; dining area and outside sitting area are cleaned and kept tidy at all times; perform other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation.
    Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.

    • Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.
    • Knowledge of the functions, procedures, and operations of recreation activities.
    • Must have strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to maintain records, compile and organize data for reports, and perform research on recreation topics for dissemination to customers.
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    • Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production.
