Job Description

About the Role

Are you looking for more than just a job—a place where your contributions make a real impact, and your success is shared with your team? At Cogent, an employee-owned company, we’re proud to offer exactly that. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Recruiter to join our growing Talent Acquisition team. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and enjoys owning the full recruitment lifecycle while partnering closely with hiring managers across corporate, operational, and technical functions.

As a Corporate Recruiter, you will manage your own requisition workload end-to-end—sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing top talent—while also contributing to continuous improvement of our recruiting processes, employer brand, and candidate experience. This position is an in-office position and will work out of our Riverside, Missouri, facility.

What You’ll Do (Essential Responsibilities)

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for corporate, professional, and operational roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles
  • Proactively source candidates using Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Screen candidates through phone and virtual interviews to assess skills, experience, and culture alignment
  • Coordinate interviews, facilitate feedback, and guide hiring managers through selection decisions
  • Extend and negotiate job offers in alignment with compensation guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently hired and hard-to-fill roles
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
  • Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate quality
  • Support employer branding efforts and recruitment initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience as a Corporate Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Proven success managing multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Strong sourcing expertise using Indeed Resume Search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Boolean search techniques
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with hiring managers and leaders
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Experience recruiting across corporate, technical, or operations roles preferred
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms (UKG preferred), Excel, Word, Gmail
