Recruiting Purpose:

The Recruiting Manager is expected to meaningfully contribute to and perpetuate our purpose and values and is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of talent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership
    • Supervises the Recruitment team; documents and addresses performance, conducts performance reviews and hires for open positions.
    • Delegates requisition assignments and other recruiting tasks such as career fairs, community connections, events and advertising.
    • Leads the department in meeting staffing goals.
    • Develop and incorporate an effective recruitment strategy.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to strategize social media outreach, website content, recruiting brochures, hiring campaigns, etc.
    • Provides weekly, quarterly, and yearly reporting to leadership.
    • Maintain an understanding of Thrive's hiring needs.
    • Analyzes candidate source data and makes recommendations on the best use of job ad budget.
  • Selection and Pipeline Coordination
    • Create meaningful partnerships with hiring managers to serve as the primary contact for recruitment needs.
    • Attend Regional Manager meetings and other team meetings at the Thrive Home Office or other Thrive locations.
    • Establish industry and community connections to manage a pipeline of future Thrivers.
    • Supports Full Cycle Recruitment program. Screens applications and recommends qualified candidates to hiring managers.
    • Administration of Applicant Support System (ATS)
      • Approves requisitions in the ATS or delegates to team members
      • Oversees requisition templates in ATS adhering to Thrive branding guidelines
      • Updates workflows and is primary contact with ATS vendor.
    • Provide training and support for hiring managers on interviewing skills, recruiting best practices, and use of ATS system.
    • Oversees internal applications and approval workflow.
    • Oversees preparation of interview questions, job descriptions, and other hiring selection materials.
    • Maintains market awareness for positions and makes recommendations on salary ranges, incentives and other pertinent details.
  • Brand Awareness and Candidate Sourcing
    • Create relationships with industry education programs and community partners to attract diverse candidates and compete in a competitive job market.
    • Seek out and attend external recruiting events (career fairs, college orientations, networking events, etc.) and host hiring events for Thrive or delegates to team members.
  • Other
    • Stay current on key federal, state and local laws and regulations related to hiring.
    • Monitor careers@thrivecommunities.com email inbox.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of experience hiring and sourcing candidates, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Property management industry knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising a team.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent time management , organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks to accomplish department goals.
  • Has well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish highly functional relationships with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment of a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Critically thinks through business decisions and is able to adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to travel for recruiting events and Home Office meetings (less than 25%)
  • Hybrid work environment or option to work 100% at the Home Office
