SUMMARY

The Recruitment and Onboarding Manager is responsible for the overall recruitment and onboarding processes throughout the organization. This role involves employing industry best practices in sourcing qualified candidates and converting them into fully onboarded staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate employment recruitment efforts by writing and placing advertisements utilizing multiple sources.
  • Research, develop, and implement efficient and effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent.
  • Expand the organizational recruitment footprint across multiple platforms and locations to generate a larger audience, increase listing exposure, and enhance company awareness.
  • Maintain requisitions on the ATS, oversee ATS access for hiring supervisors, and generate recruitment and onboarding analytic reports.
  • Manage job postings and assist with the advertisement processes.
  • Coordinate candidate vetting processes, including pre-screening and attending/conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other HR staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Conduct initial interviews for critical staff roles and other vacancies as determined by the Human Resources Director.
  • Lead and improve upon onboarding processes and timelines, ensuring appropriate delineation of accountability between HR and administration.
  • Conduct corporate new-employee orientations.
  • Anticipate department needs and participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Build applicant sources by attending and participating in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify and create collateral that attracts high-quality candidates (e.g., staff testimonials).
  • Create a defined transition process from recruitment to new hire onboarding.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the onboarding experiences within our HCMS platform.
  • Gather and process new hire paperwork to ensure all packets are completed prior to the hire date.
  • Drive the onboarding communication process, ensuring that all stakeholders know what is needed of them and by when.
  • Assure a proper hand-off of new hires to key business unit leaders (e.g., IT, Ed Platforms).
  • Ensure fidelity of the onboarding process at all levels of the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Training & Professional Development and the Director of Compliance to create tracking and reporting tools for all onboarding activities.
  • Report onboarding compliance to the HR Manager regularly and collaborate with the leadership team for continuous optimization of process/service models.
  • Lead compilation of current best practices for all recruitment initiatives that result in decreasing the length of vacancies and improving the quality of candidates.
  • Work with the Service Model Manager and LT to document all expected practices and procedures in the organization's SOM framework.
  • Regularly research, share, and lead pilots to test new practices with the potential to improve recruitment.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager and Director in all areas of human resources.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
  • Report to work as scheduled.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous Human Resources and/or recruitment experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Prior experience working with Inova or other ATS platforms preferred
  • Prior experience working with LinkedIn and Indeed preferred
  • Prior experience in the education industry preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of employment legislation as it relates to recruitment and hiring
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to analyze payroll data
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service to employees
  • Knowledge of and ability to work in a technology-rich environment
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent priorities, functions, and activities
  • Skilled in the use of productivity software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Physical Demands

  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated as Light Work.
  • Work occurs both indoors and outdoors.
