We have a deep understanding of the complex and ever-changing college admissions landscape, and we are committed to staying on top of the latest trends and best practices to provide you with the most effective guidance possible. 

We are looking to hire a motivated College Admissions Strategist who can guide students through the college application process, offering expert advice on selecting suitable institutions and crafting compelling application materials. This role involves developing personalized strategies to enhance each student’s chances of admission and success. The strategist will also stay updated on admission trends and requirements to provide informed recommendations and support.

This is a full-time remote position. 

Requirements

We are looking for a College Admissions Strategist specifically with these requirements:

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has at least 3+ years experience as a College Admissions Strategist or as a Consultant/counselor in the Education, Training/Development, and/or Coaching space ( college admission coaching experience highly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred or Proven experience in college admissions counseling, education, or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of the college admissions process, including application requirements and timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and tailor guidance to individual needs.
  • Familiarity with standardized test preparation and strategies.
  • Knowledge of financial aid and scholarship opportunities is a plus.
  • Passion for education and helping students achieve their goals.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Based on the student’s academic class schedule and grades and activity commitment and leadership, create a roadmap plan that outlines recommended classes, and activities that will position the student to submit a competitive college application
  • Provide individualized coaching and guidance to students on all aspects of the college admissions process, including school selection, application strategy, essay writing, and interview preparation.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on topics such as college selection, application timelines, essay writing, and financial aid.
  • Assist students in identifying their strengths and interests to help them select appropriate colleges and majors.
  • Review and provide feedback on college applications, personal statements, and supplemental essays.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and changes in college admissions and incorporate them into coaching strategies.
  • Support students in testing strategies and timelines for SAT/ACT.
  • Work with Coach to collaborate with parents, teachers, and school counselors to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
  • Review with coach student progress and outcomes to ensure they are meeting their goals.
  • Understanding of the University of California system; including campuses, majors, level of competition
  • Understanding of major Non- CA colleges that students apply to
  • Understanding of Top 100 colleges, their strengths and weaknesses
  • Understanding of High School Course Progressions and strategies to push students further through Community College and Online High School coursework
