Job Description:

  • Manage On-Premises Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure, including provisioning, managing, and deploying containerized applications.

  • Create, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, ensuring high availability of the cluster.

  • Administer Red Hat OpenShift services (Operators, OpenShift Data Foundation, Pipelines, Image Registry, OpenShift Serverless, Routes, S3 Compatible Storage).

  • Set up authentication methods (LDAP), define roles and permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and manage user accounts.

  • Configure networking within the cluster, including service definitions and networking policies.

  • Manage OpenShift Container Storage (OCS)/OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads, including persistent storage setup.

  • Perform version upgrades and optimize cluster performance.

  • Manage On-Premises Elasticsearch clusters (deployment, configuration, index management, snapshot/restore, cluster upgrades).

  • Build and administer Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD systems using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.

  • Perform Jenkins installation, upgrades, RBAC, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines management.

  • Administer PostgreSQL database (installation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring).

  • Install, configure, and manage monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus) and push container logs to Elasticsearch using FluentD/FluentBit.

  • Write Helm Charts, Kubernetes manifest files, and Docker files.

  • Utilize scripting languages (Bash, Python) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).

  • Evaluate the platform for security improvements and observability, developing proofs-of-concept.

Required Skills:

  • Technologies: Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, GitLab, Kafka.

  • Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator are a plus.
