Start Date: January 2025
End Date: March 29, 2025 (with possible extension)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Potential for overtime, weekend work, and travel)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes/OpenShift Administrator to join our team in managing and optimizing containerized application deployments. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in container orchestration, platform management, and cloud-native application deployment. This role involves automation, troubleshooting, and close collaboration within an agile environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters 25%.

  • Configure, manage, and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift 20%.

  • Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm 25%.

  • Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CI/CD deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub 15%.

  • Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications 15%.

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

  • Managing and administering Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters 7 years.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (KSH, Bash, Python) 6 years.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) 6 years.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven) 6 years.

  • In-depth knowledge of networking in containerized environments, load balancing, network policies, and ingress/egress traffic 6 years.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems 7 years.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Red Hat OpenShift certification or Kubernetes certification.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Public Trust clearance is acceptable. IRS MBI clearance is preferred. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizenship is required.
