Job Title: Refrigeration Technician

Seeking a motivated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The main functions of the Refrigeration Technician are the responsibility for the operation, maintenance and repair of boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC utility equipment/systems.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • Schedule: 3rd shift, B Crew, Wednesday - Saturday (every other Saturday); 5:30pm - 6:00am with opportunities for overtime
  • This position has a pay range of $28.59 - $44.22 depending on licensing/certification-Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
  • $2500.00 Sign On Bonus
Quarterly Incentives
  • Comprehensive Nestl benefits after 30 days of employment (www.healthworksatnestle.com)
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
  • Maintain proper functioning of refrigeration systems, steam generation, compressed air, hot water, treated water, glycol and other systems
  • Respond to emergency calls regarding refrigeration on production floor.
  • Ensure continued production operation as it relates to refrigeration equipment, utilities and HVAC equipment.
  • Dismantle malfunctioning system and test components using electrical mechanical and pneumatic testing equipment. Troubleshoot, adjust and /or repair utility systems equipment as problems/deviations occur.
  • Pipefitting and plumbing repair.
  • Repair/rebuild pumps, valves, regulators, traps, fans, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • State of Ohio, High Pressure Boiler Operator or Third Class Stationary Engineer License is preferred.
  • Experience in ammonia refrigeration and electrical controls preferred.
  • HAZMAT training certification preferred (will train). Must be willing and able to participate on a HAZMAT team.
  • Must observe good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
  • 1 year experience with HVAC preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
Skills:
  • have legible handwriting with attention to detail.
  • Maintain regular work attendance.
  • Must possess basic reading, writing, mathematical, and computer skills. Work in a team environment.
  • Maintain neat and accurate documentation when required.
  • Ability to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time.
