JOB DESCRIPTION-:

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls, including experience with ammonia refrigeration systems. o Applicants will be considered for Associate Refrigeration Technicians, General Refrigeration Technicians, and Sr Refrigeration Technicians level openings. o Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

What are the nice-to-have skills?

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Refrigeration Technicians are vital to maintaining our Team Member's safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements:

  • Education: 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education (e.g., possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls, including experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Applicants will be considered for Associate Refrigeration Technicians, General Refrigeration Technicians, and Sr Refrigeration Technicians level openings.
  • Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.

  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Frequent overhead work.
  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
