- Minimum of 1.5 years of psychiatric/behavioral health bedside experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a multi-state/compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric and behavioral health nursing, including crisis intervention, medication administration, and patient education
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- High level of empathy, patience, and emotional resilience to support patients with complex mental health needs
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Provide patient-centered mental health care, manage crises, and support recovery for individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and provide education on medication management while following established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute effective treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans to meet evolving needs and ensure optimal outcomes
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing recovery
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
