Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Columbus, GA
Salary: $72,800 - $93,600
Job Type: Permanent

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of psychiatric/behavioral health bedside experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a multi-state/compact RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong clinical skills in psychiatric and behavioral health nursing, including crisis intervention, medication administration, and patient education
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
  • High level of empathy, patience, and emotional resilience to support patients with complex mental health needs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centered mental health care, manage crises, and support recovery for individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
  • Administer medications, monitor responses, and provide education on medication management while following established protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute effective treatment plans
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans to meet evolving needs and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing recovery
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
