This position is eligible for a $3,000 recruitment bonus - Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency. Registered Nurse duties in a correctional facility perform professional nursing role similar to outpatient services in the community. Registered nurses participate in the management of the nursing care of patients within a health care environment; provide clinical leadership and assist practitioners; plan and conduct educational sessions, including teaching that requires a registered nursing license; administer medication, triage patient complaints and coordinate the care of residents in a correctional environment with a multi‑disciplinary team which includes physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, optometrists & dentists.
