Registered NurseAre you a Registered Nurse looking for a dynamic work experience working with a great team?As a RN Nurse at NKHS you will be part of the Adult Outpatient Team, providing training, oversight, consultation, nursing care, treatment planning and development to individuals served by the AO team. An opportunity for either a new RN or seasoned professional.About Northeast Kingdom Human ServicesNKHS is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization operating with the purpose of promoting high quality, comprehensive community mental health programs in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by promoting hope, healing, and support. NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges. We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages. NKHS has over 450 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school based counseling, emergency care, and respite services. These services are provided annually to nearly 4,000 of our local community members, helping them overcome challenges and achieve health in mind, body, and spirit.Responsibilities & ScopeRegistered Nurse (RN) works as part of the AO team to promote a safe and healthy living environment for consumers in their own homes, or AO contracted or managed homes.Will perform physical health consultative support for individuals of Adult Outpatient.Implement and participate in the Individual Plan of Care/ Treatment Plan.Liaison with other community health service providers.Provide nursing consultation, assistance, training and delegation of medication administration procedures to staff of Adult Outpatient.Educate and counsel clients, family members, and primary care providers.Provide staff training to perform special care procedures.Participate in the development, and maintenance, of linkages with healthcare providers, advocacy for follow up for clients with complex health challenges, and health education for Adult Outpatient clients.QualificationsLicensed Practical Nurse in Vermont, RN preferred.Prefer at least three-year's experience working in a mental health setting.Prefer experience in a leadership role.Ability to effectively interface with a wide range of medical and professional clinicians in hospital/clinic settings.Salary & BenefitsCompetitive Salary: $59,500-$80,500/year.Health and dental insurance.403b retirement plan with Agency contribution and match.Generous paid time off, 12 sick days and 12 paid holidays.Outstanding employee wellness programExceptional benefits package including low-cost medical and dental, short-/long-term disability coverages, 403(b) retirement plan, life insurance, AFLAC, employee assistance program, generous paid time off, long-term care plan, and additional optional benefitsNKHS is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
