Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)The Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in our Hindman clinic is a critical role focused on delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across various medical settings. The primary goal is to provide direct patient care that promotes healing, comfort, and education, ensuring patients and their families understand treatment plans and health management. This role involves continuous assessment and monitoring of patient conditions, including wound care, to promptly identify changes and intervene appropriately. The RN/LPN acts as a patient advocate, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet medical and surgical nursing standards. Ultimately, the position aims to enhance patient outcomes through skilled nursing care, education, and compassionate support in a dynamic healthcare environment.Minimum Qualifications:Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kentucky.Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience in direct patient care.Strong knowledge of wound care techniques and patient education principles.Preferred Qualifications:Pediatric Nursing experienceExperience working with nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting with diverse patient populations.Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plansPerform wound care management, including dressing changes and monitoring for signs of infection or complications.Advocate for patients' needs and preferences while coordinating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.Deliver nursing care in medical, family and pediatric settings as required, adapting to the specific needs of each patient population.Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.Skills:The required skills such as direct patient care essential for daily nursing activities, enabling the RN/LPN to monitor patient health accurately and provide timely interventions. Patient education skills are used to communicate complex medical information clearly, empowering patients to participate actively in their care.
