As a Registered Nurse Instructor, you will develop and implement an effective orientation program for all new nursing employees to assist staff in striving for and achieving the resident care goals. Additionally, you will evaluate the new nurses' progress during the orientation period,lecture on aspects of nursing practice, and develop lesson plans based on facility and staff needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment. 40-hour work week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Schedule is flexible.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelors degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university;or
  • One year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Special Requirements:
  • You must be in possession of an active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • Employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
