Registered Nurse Neuro Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit provides skilled nursing care to patients with neurological and other medical conditions. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The nurse will float between units as needed, working in a fast-paced acute care environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with weekend shifts required.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred; 1st year nurses are considered.
• Clinical skills in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• Ability to manage a patient load with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

• Experience in neurological telemetry nursing.
• Previous float nursing experience across multiple units.

• Weekend shifts are required, approximately 6 per 6-week schedule.
• No on-call duties required.
• Block schedules are not required.
• Dress code for licensed nurses is solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs; print tops are not permitted except in designated departments.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio expected to be 1:4.
• 48-hour workweeks are not approved.

• Work schedule includes weekend shifts as specified.
• Shift assignments may vary as nurse floats between units.
• Typical shifts follow hospital acute care scheduling patterns.
