Description Trinity Health's surgical suite/OR currently consists of 16 beds and was just recently renovated. This is a newly renovated area. We also have a hybrid operating room, a surgical theatre equipped with advanced medical imaging devices such as fixed C-Arms, CT scanners, and MRI scanners. These devices enable minimally‑invasive surgery, which is less traumatic for the patient. Minimally invasive means the surgeon can insert catheters or endoscopes through small holes instead of a large incision. Though imaging has long been part of the OR in the form of mobile C‑Arms, ultrasound, and endoscopy, these new procedures require imaging techniques that visualize smaller body parts such as thin vessels in the heart muscle, facilitated through intra‑operative 3D imaging. Employment Type Full time Shift 12 Hour Evening Shift What you will work Full Time 36 hours per week 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 p.m. Evening shift Benefits Day‑1 benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) retirement Paid holidays and generous paid time off (PTO) Up to 18 days of PTO in your first year Daily pay options Before the surgical procedure Responsible for ensuring that the OR is set up correctly Set up the surgical area, laying out instruments and supplies according to the surgeon's preferences Check all equipment needed during the procedure to verify it’s functioning normally Verify the patient’s identity and necessary consent forms, then review the site and nature of the procedure with the OR team During the operation Provide the surgical team with sterile fluids and medications as needed Replenish the surgical team's supplies if they need additional disposables or instruments Advocate for the patient while they are incapacitated during the surgical procedure Position Summary Registered Nurse – RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing evidence‑based medicine and individualized patient care. An RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. Qualifications Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred. In Grand Rapids, if holding an ADN, must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete it within 4 years of hire. Licensed in the State of Michigan. Experience required. Our Commitment Rooted in our mission and core values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents that each colleague brings. By finding common ground and embracing our differences, we grow stronger together and deliver more compassionate, person‑centered care. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
