    Our Postpartum Unit:
  • Family-centered focus
  • 18 postpartum mother/baby rooms
  • Cares for medically complex and high-risk postpartum patients

    Our Postpartum nurses:
  • Provide the highest-level of care for our patients by working with Obstetric, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric/Newborn providers who are in-house and accessible around the clock
  • Have access to certified lactation consultants 7-days per week
  • Collaborate with dedicated perinatal social workers for care coordination, as needed
  • Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards

    Nurse patient ratios are assigned by acuity
    Ratios can be anywhere from 1:3-1:6 (mother = 1 patient, Baby = 1 patient).

    90% Nights

    Requirements:
    Experienced Postpartum nurses:
  • Have or obtain a WA state license to practice as an RN or MSL
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • One or more years of inpatient postpartum nursing experience
  • BLS
