Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will work in a mixed acuity unit, providing care for PCU, MS Tele, and MS patients. The role requires recent PCU/IMC experience and the ability to manage patients with varying levels of acuity. Responsibilities include monitoring, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide care for PCU and MS Tele patients, including surgical pre and post-operative patients.
- Care for patients with ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, and ortho surgery needs.
- Manage overflow medical diagnosis patients.
- Monitor and manage patients with telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown needs.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Provide post-MI care.
- Implement and manage IV insulin protocols.
- Provide feeding tube care and management.
- Manage continuous bladder irrigation.
- Care for patients with renal failure.
- Access ports, administer blood products, and manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral lines.
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs.
- Implement heparin protocols.
- Manage cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, and thrombolytic agents.
- Titrate cardiac drips.
- Care for patients with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal.
- Manage ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacements, and traction.
- Provide care for patients with mastectomy and chest tubes.
- Manage external CPAP/BIPAP and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC).
- Interpret ABGs and manage nasal cannulas and oxygen face masks.
- Provide non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy management.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and provide wound care/wound vac management.
- Document patient care in EPIC.
- Utilize Pyxis for medication management.
- Communicate using SBAR.
- Float to corresponding sister units (West 2, West 3, and Observation unit) as needed.

Special Considerations:
