_{We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit for a 3-month registry assignment. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, continuous cardiac monitoring, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.}

• _{Collect patient health history from multiple sources, ensuring age-appropriate communication.}

• _{Complete thorough admission assessments within established timeframes.}

• _{Notify appropriate teams when patient meets admission criteria.}

• _{Conduct Braden Scale assessments and revise care plans as patient condition changes.}

• _{Assess and respond to developmental, psychosocial, educational, and discharge needs.}

• _{Develop and update individualized, age-specific care plans involving patients, families, and caregivers.}

• _{Set and achieve patient-centered goals and interventions, focusing on safety and healing.}

• _{Prioritize and perform nursing care activities, delegating appropriately based on team competencies.}

• _{Document all care activities clearly, timely, and accurately in compliance with hospital policy.}

• _{Comply with Department of Health and other regulatory requirements.}
  

• _{Properly apply telemetry leads and educate patients/families on monitoring purposes.}

• _{Coordinate with Telemetry Technicians to ensure accurate alarm settings.}

• _{Interpret and document telemetry strips, reporting ectopy and changes to physicians.}

• _{Follow chest pain protocols and administer high-risk IV cardiac drugs safely.}

• _{Assist with elective cardioversions and follow standing telemetry orders}

• _{Accurately transcribe and verify medical orders.}

• _{Sign off on all orders with correct formatting and timeliness.}

• _{Accept and document phone orders per policy, including readbacks.}

• _{Clarify unclear or incomplete orders before execution.}

• _Required:

  • _{Valid New Jersey RN License}

  • _{Basic Life Support (BLS)}

  • _{Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)}

• _Preferred:

  • _{Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN)}

• _{1 2 years of experience in a Cardiac/Telemetry unit}

• _{1 2 years of experience in an Acute Care setting}

• _{Proficient in basic dysrhythmia interpretation}

• _{BSN preferred or currently enrolled in a BSN program}

• _{Valid NJ RN license required}
