Come join the team at Virginias #1 Hospital! UVA Health is seeking RNs to join our award-winning interdisciplinary team within our 600+ bed Academic University Medical Center. The Inpatient Renal Unit is a procedural unit focused on providing a variety of extracorporeal/dialysis treatments to a wide range of patients with various diagnoses.
The Renal Unit is seeking Registered Nurses who would focus their skillset in intermittent dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), supporting peritoneal dialysis, and different types of apheresis. Applicants should be open to learning all modalities while on orientation. We encourage our RNs to obtain specialty certification as soon as the prerequisites for CDN or CNN are met. If this sounds like you, we would love to speak to you about a possible future on the Renal Unit!

We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus as well as up to $5,000 in relocation assistance for qualified candidates. Please contact Allyson Monahan at ezw3qk@virginia.edu for more information.

We are seeking a capable clinician, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the health care team. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process.

Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, groups, communities and populations.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
