JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Qualifications: Open to the Public: Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

Duties Description: Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care

Act as health liaison

Coordinate and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations.

Provide first aid and emergency nursing care.

Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies for each individual

Attend team reviews and present information, as needed

Meet documentation requirement i.e. obtaining & transcribing physicians orders, daily nursing note, health charts, medication regimen reviews and case review summaries.

Provide medication administration

Maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, medical supplies.

Participate in staff training

Prepare clinical and administrative reports

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state].
- Minimum [X] years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably with experience in behavioral health or working with children.
- Proficient in medication administration, including knowledge of dosage calculations and medication interactions.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and basic medical procedures such as catheterization.
- Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Additional Comments: Salary Schedule for the position is as follows:
$91,776-$100,248 - Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 and Geographic Differential ($20,000).
**Additional compensation above the hiring rate may apply depending on the candidates training and experience.

3) For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
