Welcome to our September 2026 RN Post Graduate Training Program, where registered nurses embark on an exciting journey to become skilled professionals in the Operating Room. As part of this program, you’ll engage in comprehensive classroom and clinical training to master the intricacies of the operating room. About The OR Academy
Stage I: Begins with a comprehensive week of General Nursing Orientation followed by five weeks of immersive classes featuring a blend of lectures, discussions, skill training, return demonstrations, observational learning, and simulation exercises.
Stage II: Clinical rotations focused on surgical patient care, covering circulator and scrub roles. Work closely with preceptors in the OR to develop essential skills for safe and effective patient care.
What You’ll Need
Less than 1 year of experience in the Operating Room
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
What You’ll Do
Diligently prepare for classroom and clinical commitments before arranging meetings.
Consistently fulfill examination requirements on designated days.
Keep meticulous clinical case records.
Uphold a constructive and enthusiastic demeanor during clinical rotations.
Deliver age-appropriate care in strict accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Guidelines for the respective patient age groups when participating in patient care.
