Job Summary


*This position may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $10,000; current state employees are not eligible*

The Nursing Quality RN Senior performs nursing functions that address quality nursing care in critical areas of nursing practice at AMRTC including, but not limited to, assisting with data collection and analysis related to nursing metrics, providing supports related to patient assessments, treatment planning, restrictive interventions, documentation, and patient safety. The RN Senior will assist with assuring facility policies are followed and a high standard of nursing care is maintained according to regulatory standards. He/she will work with administrative and clinical nursing staff to provide leadership in improving and maintaining care delivery processes for the patients we serve. The RN Senior will effectively provide consultation, assessment, problem-solving, and provide direction and technical support to nursing leaders and other nursing personal as indicated. The Nursing Quality RN Senior will provide support to the Nursing Quality Specialist, RN Administrative Supervisors, and unit RN Supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Current Minnesota License as a Registered Nurse.

  • Knowledge of:

    • AMRTC Nursing Practice standards, policies, and procedures

    • AMRTC facility standards, policies, and procedures


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and ability to respond to psychiatric emergencies, medical emergencies, weather emergencies, and other disasters.
  • Knowledge and ability to use critical thinking skills necessary to complete analyses, evaluations, promoting effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Knowledge and ability to observe, record, and report patient care.
  • Knowledge and ability to engage as a member of nursing leadership.
