Pay Rate: $72/hr

Description / Comment :

• Neuro Suite- Neurology stepdown unit
• 12 hour nights
• 36 hours
• OT after 48
• BLS, ACLS required
• RN needs to be ACLS certified, cardiac certified
• 1:03 patient ratio
• Common patient diagnosis: Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures. Occasionally: syncope, hyper/hypotension & vascular surgeries.
• Special procedures: Chest tube insertions, EVD insertions, Halo's
• Common medication: Antiseizure medications, antipsychotic medications, antihypertensive, DM.
• May be required to float to ICU, Surgical stepdown unit, ER
• Common equipment: Bard IV pumps, GE cardiac monitor, EPCD, sit-to-stand tool, Hoyer, transfer boards, seizure pads.
• EPIC charting
