Job TitleRN Stroke Coordinator primarily for Saint Mary's but responsible also for cases at Johnson Memorial HospitalEmployment TypeFull timeShiftDay ShiftPosition PurposeThe Stroke Coordinator assists with providing leadership, program management, operational direction, and strategic initiatives associated with the Stroke Program. Oversees all regulatory activity related to the Department of Public Health certification as a Disease-specific Care program in collaboration with the Quality and Regulatory department and ensures compliance with standards.What You Will DoEnsure protocols are up to date, revising forms as appropriate.Assist with the ongoing collection and submission of QI data (outcomes, monthly stroke statistics, door-to-needle data)Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates for clinical servicesIdentify and analyze data and trends in patient experience, quality outcomes, and practice excellence and guide program changes accordinglyCollaborate with appropriate departments and individuals to develop action plans to address any deficiencies in quality of careEnsure that all Stroke patient data is entered into the Outcomes Registry in a timely mannerAssist clinical leadership with the Stroke quality improvement process, including leading multidisciplinary teams for process improvementMinimum QualificationsCurrent CT RN Licensure requiredBachelor's Degree preferred. Master of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Certification in appropriate clinical specialty preferred. BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.Prior experience with oversight of a clinical program preferred, providing health education and caring for neurology/stroke patients.
