Job Summary: A Telemetry Nurse is responsible for monitoring and caring for patients with critical heart conditions and other medical needs, using specialized equipment to track vital signs. This role involves close collaboration with healthcare professionals, timely intervention, and educating patients and families about care protocols and lifestyle changes. Key Responsibilities: • Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans • Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements • Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment • Administering medication and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists • Maintaining and updating ward charts, patient files, and medical records • Instructing Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans • Collaborating with healthcare specialists and reporting changes and deteriorating conditions • Explaining test results and procedures to patients and their families, and answering questions • Advising patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, home care protocols, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes Required Qualifications: • Current RN License • Strong knowledge of cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and emergency response • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting • Proficiency in electronic health records and patient documentation Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a telemetry or acute care unit Certifications: • BLS (Basic Life Support) • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) #J-18808-Ljbffr
