Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: RCP Respiratory Care Practitioner

• Perform care consistent with generally accepted evidence-based practices.

• Set up equipment and provide patient/youth instructions for proper use according to established policies and procedures.

• Perform complete medical evaluations of patients during scheduled clinic hours or upon request.

• Maintain daily charting; delinquent charts exceeding ten (10) days may result in termination of Temporary/Relief Respiratory Care Practitioner status.

• Assist in the development and updating of policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy.

• Provide periodic assessment of equipment needs and make recommendations.

• Complete special assignments for respiratory care services as requested by the CEO/CME or designee, such as participating in quality improvement projects or utilization reviews.
