This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision.What You Will DoMechanical ventilationMedicated aerosol deliveryAirway clearance therapyPatient monitoringOxygen and humidity therapySpecial procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.QualificationsEducationAssociate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)Work Experience1+ years Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred)NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)Position Details/Preferred QualificationsAt least one year of recent experience is preferred.
