Job Title Registered Respiratory Therapist Location Baylor Scott & White Health – Marble Falls, Texas Shift/Schedule Varies Shift PRN – 12 hour shifts Job Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist works with a multidisciplinary team, applying evidence‑based respiratory therapies to improve patient outcomes. The role requires timely, high‑quality care in a learning environment. Essential Functions Perform and direct respiratory care services, including oxygen and aerosol therapy, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergencies. Adhere to policies on infection control, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain a professional, patient‑centered environment and participate in continuous quality improvement. Key Success Factors In-depth knowledge of respiratory care modalities, equipment, and medications. Strong reading, writing, and protocol‑following skills. Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and general computer proficiency. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree or 2+ years experience in respiratory care. Experience: Less than 1 year in a clinical respiratory role. Certification / Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire or transfer. Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Benefits Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits. 401(k) savings plan with dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 5%. Tuition reimbursement. PTO accrual beginning Day 1.
