Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Sharon, CT
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/02/2026
Shift: Days
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 34.5 guaranteed hours per week
Days Worked: Monday–Friday and every other weekend
On Call: None

Facility / Unit Overview:

  • Respiratory Therapists provide coverage across all hospital units

  • Care settings include Acute Care, Emergency Department, ICU, and Med-Surg

  • Independent practice environment requiring strong clinical judgment

Position Overview:
The RRT delivers comprehensive respiratory care to patients across multiple units in an acute care hospital. This role requires the ability to work independently and manage a wide range of respiratory therapies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care services throughout the hospital, including ICU, ED, and inpatient units

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions

  • Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments

  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and codes

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital protocols

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required

  • Current New York State Department of Health Respiratory License required

  • Minimum of 2 years recent respiratory therapy experience

  • BLS required

  • NRP required

Preferred Certifications:

  • ACLS

  • PALS
