This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet U.S. import regulations, safety standards, and documentation requirements while working closely with logistics teams, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and ensuring imported goods meet regulatory and safety standards.Key Responsibilities• Manage import regulatory compliance for consumer product shipments• Perform HTS tariff classification and ensure accurate customs documentation• Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to support smooth import processes• Maintain compliance with CPSC and ASTM safety standards for applicable products• Review testing reports and product documentation to ensure regulatory requirements are met• Monitor regulatory updates and support internal compliance procedures• Maintain organized compliance records to support audits or regulatory reviewsQualifications• 5+ years of experience in import compliance, trade compliance, or customs compliance• Strong knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. import regulations• Familiarity with CPSC regulations, CPSIA, and ASTM safety standards• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory documentation• Strong analytical and documentation skillsPreferred• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)• Experience with consumer goods, retail products, toys, or regulated products
