Regulatory Specialist Apply
Job Overview:
The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, labeling, and product registrations. This position requires a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them to company policies and practices.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor and stay current on all relevant regulatory requirements and changes, including FDA, USDA, and international regulations.
- Ensure compliance with labeling regulations and review product labels for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain product specifications and ingredient lists.
- Coordinate and monitor product registration and approval processes.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, including ingredient listings, food safety plans, and product registration files.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs.
- Support customer and regulatory audits and inspections.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in regulatory compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of regulatory strategies for new product launches.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations
- Experience with food labeling regulations and ingredient lists
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- HACCP or Food Safety certifications are a plus
