Job Location:- St Louis, MO (Day 1 Onsite- Candidate needs to work 3 Days at the Client Office)
looking for a Release Manager with following skillset and experience:
- RM will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
- Planning release windows and cycles across portfolios, components
- Communicating crucial release plans and changes
- Measuring and monitoring progress to achieve a timely software release within defined budgetary limits and defined quality standards
- Coordinating processes between different teams (possibly in various locations)
- Communicating necessary release details to business teams
- Managing, planning, and negotiating release activities
- Producing deployment, implementation, and run books plans
- Conducting release readiness and milestone reviews
- Maintaining release schedules for every core service and ensuring it aligns with major vendors and other stakeholders.
- Working with release engineers to comprehend code merges and branch ramifications
- Ensuring that releases operate as per expectations Ensuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with an effective release.
- Initiating and overseeing the development of technical guides and training for external functionality
- Managing the development of deliverables into production environments
- Validating release notes
- Deployment management of deliverables to the test environment particularly guaranteeing that the external dependent items are available during the test runtime
Mandatory Skill Sets:-
- 10+ years of experience in IT and minimum 6 years as Release Manager
- six-year experience in using release management tools
- Ability to handle software infrastructure management & configuration management.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Should have Agile experience/knowledge of key agile techniques including SAFe 4.0 Value Streams, Kanban, Lean, XP, and Scrum
- Experience with PI/PSI planning and other SAFe and/or Disciplined Agile Development (DAD) ceremonies.
- Experience leading Agile Scrum teams.
- Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
- Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burn-down techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling bugs etc.)
- Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)
- Good skills and knowledge, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Foundational knowledge of Scrum Master tool-set (Jira, Confluence, Zoom, etc.)
- Foundational knowledge of Agile principles and ability to apply them in day to day delivery; Optional Agile certification acquired (CSM, CSPO, etc.)
