Reliability & Preventive Maintenance Coordinator Full Time/Direct Hire Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000, DOE Relocation assistance available for non-local candidates No visa support available for position at this time About the Role Our client is seeking a Reliability & PM Coordinator to strengthen equipment uptime and drive long‑term asset performance across a heavy industrial operation. This role focuses on analyzing equipment behavior, improving maintenance strategies, and coordinating planned outages while supporting the rollout of a new CMMS platform. You’ll collaborate closely with inspectors, lubrication technicians, planners, and operations teams to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals. What You’ll Do Equipment Reliability & Preventive Maintenance Build, refine, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability. Monitor equipment condition (vibration, temperature, noise, lubrication, etc.) and identify early indicators of failure. Oversee all predictive maintenance activities, including lubrication routes and filter replacement schedules. Partner with Maintenance and Production teams to investigate recurring failures and develop corrective action plans. Review emergency and unplanned work to determine whether formal failure analysis is required. Track and report PM performance metrics, ensuring data accuracy within the CMMS. Work with maintenance planners to schedule PM shutdowns and coordinate predictive maintenance vendor visits. Lead planning and preparation for major outages, including annual winter shutdowns. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to design solutions that eliminate chronic equipment issues. Serve as the CMMS “super user,” supporting system adoption, training, and continuous improvement. Leadership & Team Support Maintain strong visibility on the plant floor to reinforce safety expectations and support inspectors and lubrication personnel. Provide coaching, direction, and performance feedback to team members as needed. Help coordinate daily work activities to meet operational priorities and deadlines. Maintenance Planning & Coordination Support the planner with job scoping, site visits, labor estimates, and identifying required materials or specialty components. Participate in meetings, presentations, and cross‑functional discussions to align maintenance and production needs. Take part in the on‑call rotation to support critical repairs during nights, weekends, or holidays. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Assist Operations/Production teams with troubleshooting equipment issues. Work with the warehouse, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure critical spare parts are available for PM activities. Partner with Safety, Environmental, Electrical, Quarry, and Shipping teams to ensure maintenance work supports overall plant performance. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering. 5–10 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment within these industries: cement, lime manufacturing, Steel, mining, pulp/paper, or automotive is required. Strong organizational skills with a disciplined, efficiency‑driven mindset. Ability to work collaboratively across departments with excellent time‑management and documentation skills. Experience conducting field inspections and verifying work quality against specifications and regulatory requirements. Comfortable delegating tasks and supporting planning activities. Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, and respond to off‑hour callouts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify failure trends and propose engineered solutions. Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and a genuine interest in data‑driven maintenance. Experience with Coswin is highly preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.Demonstrated leadership in promoting safe work practices. Ability to navigate all areas of an industrial plant, including climbing, walking long distances, and entering confined spaces.
