The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grand Haven region seeking Reliability Engineers. Key Responsibilities Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures to identify and eliminate root causes. Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) strategies for critical assets. Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to maximize asset uptime and lifecycle. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE to identify reliability improvement opportunities. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing equipment reliability and reducing unscheduled downtime. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations to integrate reliability into design, procurement, and operational practices. Conduct reliability assessments and provide input on new equipment specifications and upgrades. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). 3-5+ years of reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCM, RBI, and PM Optimization. Demonstrated experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implementing solutions. Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing CMMS/EAM systems and reliability software. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and associated failure modes. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for predictive modeling and machine learning applications. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Experience with simulation software or digital twin technologies for system optimization. Prior hands-on experience in a skilled trade (e.g., Machinist, Electrician, Welder).
