As Reliability Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of reliability engineers to execute the end-to-end delivery of electromechanical systems reliability projects related to new product development and quality improvement programs. You will guide the team in delivering test design, execution, and evaluation that is critical to ensuring the ongoing safety and reliability of our products for our customers. In addition, as a key organizational and people leader you will support team member development and contribute to shaping and executing the departments long-term strategic plan.

This role is subject to our hybrid work model: we collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week, you have flexibility to work wherever it suits you best.
What Youll Do
  • Use technical expertise to guide the team in implementing rapid and well-designed reliability test methods, focusing on areas of hardware and firmware engineering
  • Provide skill development, mentoring, and training to laboratory technicians and reliability engineers
  • Collaborate with direct reports to develop yearly goals and individual development plans
  • Drive growth and innovation of reliability methods and acquisition of new test equipment in alignment with the departments overall 3-year strategy
  • Oversee execution and analysis of failure diagnostic and/or forensic activities
  • Participate in design reviews across NPD programs as hardware design for reliability experts, offering guidance, and review of designs for applications in foodservice industry
  • Participate in 8D meetings as a steering committee member and provide root cause analysis and reporting to the team.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Engineering OR Advanced Technical Degree with design and quality coursework in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in root cause analysis and proposing corrective actions in alignment with the 8D process.
  • Experience with various electronic reliability modeling techniques, with focus on reliability physics of failure-based methods/techniques
  • Experience managing a capital acquisition program from justification to approval, including project management of purchases and installation
