Position Summary – Reliability Manager

The Reliability Manager is responsible for building and running a world-class industrial reliability program. This program drives both preventative and predictive maintenance planning through robust asset health management, work execution management, and root-cause analysis/corrective action management. The Reliability Manager will oversee the program and, working cross-functionally with other operations and maintenance leaders, will drive continuous improvement of key performance indicators for equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.  Responsible for assessing the quality, robustness, and capability of process equipment within the processes through KPI’s and given metrics.  Will provide guidance in making decisions to improve process equipment as needed. Responsible for ensuring asset health management system is accurate and maintained. From a leadership standpoint, this position will oversee maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and major outage planning and execution.

 
Requirements
•    Promote and support a safe and injury free workplace in an MSHA compliant environment
•    Develop and implement means to capture failure data. Monitor and analyze failure data and furnish reliability reports; determine root cause, propose, and implement design modifications/solutions to improve reliability.
•    Assist in capital projects as needed, providing technical support for design, installation, and start-up support of all new critical equipment.
•    Support operational continuous improvement efforts as a technical resource, evaluating current equipment performance, reviewing design, and identifying equipment recommendations.
•    Provide leadership for maintenance staff through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Define future state plant reliability, set reliability goals, and communicate goals with supervisory staff, gain support and commitment. Ensure functional area goals are aligned to operational and organizational goals. 
•    Strong planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, project management, time management, and leadership skills
•    Promote a positive work environment for growth and sustainability
•    Coordination required to facilitate and execute planned outages
•    Responsible for leading development of Equipment Maintenance Plan
•    Use the RCA/Correction action program for improved equipment reliability
•    Lead and manage, through collaboration, with all co-workers in their area the RCA/Corrective action program for equipment issues.
•    Support for all process control and information systems documentation
•    Involvement and coordination with maintenance planner and maintenance plant supervisor on planned reliability tasks/outage work/repairs 
•    Assist in the development of equipment inspection procedures by operations and maintenance department to ensure that proper actions are being taken to maintain plant equipment and to keep the equipment in good working condition.
•    Participate, use, and support the maintenance work order system for continued growth and development
•    Cost management for site activities including effective use of contractors, repair materials, and spare parts 
•    Task and project oriented
•    Ability to work with all levels of management
•    Ability to work some off shifts and weekends
•    Other duties as required by the needs of the plant

Minimum Education and Experience
•    Minimum of 5 years of reliability maintenance leadership experience in an industrial environment
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•    Bachelor degree or equivalent - engineering background preferred
•    Mechanical aptitude, process equipment, and PLC experience preferred 
•    Microsoft/ERP proficient with advanced computer skills in reporting, information transfer, and analysis preferred
