Remote Customer Service Representative - Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Required - READ CAREFULLY
We are currently hiring Customer Service Representatives to provide remote support to individuals seeking health care coverage through a state-based health insurance marketplace. In this phone-based position, you’ll guide consumers through the application and enrollment process, answer questions, and deliver exceptional service from the comfort of your home. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and equipped to work remotely, we want to hear from you!
Schedule:
Training/Residency: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET (5 weeks)
100% attendance is required for training and residency. Absences may result in removal from the project.
Non-peak Season (Regular Hours): Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET
Peak Season (Open Enrollment): Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Some Saturdays may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound and outbound calls to assist customers with health insurance applications, eligibility, and enrollment.
- Explain options and process life events, changes, and coverage adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each interaction.
- Escalate issues as necessary and route calls appropriately.
- Provide support in compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Attend scheduled training and team meetings to stay current on program updates.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-6 months to 2 years of experience in customer service or call center roles.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and data entry skills.
Remote Work Requirements
- Location: Remote (Contiguous U.S. only)
- Equipment (BYOD):
* Operating System: Windows 10 or MacOS (10.15 or newer)
* Internet Speed: Minimum 25 Mbps download (50 Mbps if shared), 5 Mbps upload (10 Mbps preferred)
* Connection: Ethernet (wired) connection only – mobile hotspots and Wi-Fi not supported
* Headset: USB-wired headset with microphone and noise suppression (no Bluetooth)
* Webcam: Required for training, meetings, and Real Job Preview sessions
* Workspace: Quiet, private area free from distractions
