Job Description

Seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Knowledge Engineer to drive the development and optimization of AI solutions for the life insurer.

This requires strong understanding of knowledge representation, ontologies, and machine learning, and applying these technologies to solve complex business problems within the life insurance domain.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Vision and Strategy
• Develop and articulate a clear technical vision and strategy for AI projects, aligning with business objectives
• Best Practices Implementation
• Implement best practices for AI model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, ensuring high quality, performance, and compliance
• Model Development Oversight
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI models addressing business challenges, leveraging advanced ML and statistical techniques
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with stakeholders across products, actuarial teams, underwriting to ensure successful integration of AI solutions into business processes
• Innovation and Research
• Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to identify innovation opportunities in AI applications
• Performance Monitoring
• Implement frameworks to monitor/evaluate assessing effectiveness/impact of AI models post-deployment, making needed iterative improvements
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
• Create comprehensive documentation of AI strategies, methodologies, and best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing across teams
• Team Leadership and Mentorship
• Provide leadership and guidance to data scientists/engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the team Risk Management
• Identify potential risks related with AI initiatives, develop mitigation strategies to address ethical, compliance, and operational concerns

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, preferably in life insurance domain
• Proven experience in leading AI projects, with a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and model development processes
• Experience with AI deployment frameworks and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
