This is a high-impact, strategic role focused equally on technical leadership and hands-on execution. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data infrastructure, while mentoring teammates and partnering cross-functionally to drive analytics innovation across the company. What You'll Do: If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week: Mentored fellow data engineers through code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical planning sessions Led the design and implementation of scalable, secure data pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, and SQL Collaborated with Product Managers to launch new customer-facing analytics capabilities Partnered with DevOps to optimize cloud infrastructure with Terraform and AWS-managed services Built and maintained integrations with MySQL, SQL Server, and OLAP systems to support product insights and internal operations Participated in our on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and performance Contributed to the hiring, onboarding, and professional development of the Data Engineering team Explored and evaluated new tools—including AI-assisted coding platforms like Claude and Windsurf—to improve engineering workflows What You'll Need: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and data services Familiarity with MySQL, SQL Server, and OLAP databases Experience using Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools Expertise in modern data tooling, particularly dbt and Apache Airflow Operating reliable and performant pipelines in production environments Building data platforms that support both internal stakeholders and external customers Compensation: We believe in equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is a core value. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a target base annual salary range of $150,000 - $180,000, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k.
