Design, build, and maintain distributed cloud infrastructure and platform services with a collaborative approach with Software Engineers Work on scaling, automation, reliability and observability of services Troubleshoot production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack Identify security gaps proactively and design & implement effective preventative controls Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization Minimum Requirements Proven track record of building large scale, cloud based complex distributed systems; identifying shortcomings and optimization opportunities; and making data driven cost performance tradeoffs to influence design decisions Empathy, strong communication skills and a deep respect for the power of collaboration The ability to drive clear next steps when encountering ambiguous spaces without clear lines of ownership, aiming to enable developers to self-service as much as they can Experience in system administration and writing infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) in a high-stakes production environment Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives Experience handling critical incidents for production systems Preferred Qualifications Software engineering experience Linux system administration knowledge Understanding of topics such as platform hardening, malware detection, and endpoint management through configuration as code Strong written and verbal communication skills for different audiences (leadership, users, stakeholders etc.) Uphold high standards for engineering and product quality and mentor other team members to do the same Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production Personal Development: Pursue your professional goals with our support, including personal education budgets and conference allowances.
