We are looking for a talented individual to join a dynamic team focused on a major data and application migration project! This is your chance to lead data migration efforts, mentor junior developers, and solve complex problems that truly matter. If you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mastering new technologies, this role is for you! Contract Details Type: One-year renewable contract. Estimated Hourly Rate: $43.34 - $51.34/hour. Location: Fully Remote. Residency Requirement: Candidates must reside in a state that aligns with Eastern or Central Time. Closing Date: January 22, 2026 Note: This role is open to direct hires only. We are not accepting Corp-to-Corp (C2C) or agency submittals. Required Skills ️ 8 years of experience working on government IT projects as a software developer or engineer. 8 years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures. 3 years of experience supporting information systems related to Water Quality or Safety. Strong working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Please note: Your resume must clearly show the required experience listed above. Preferred Skills Experience with Water Quality Exchange (WQX), SDWIS, SWIFT, and DW-SFTIES. Experience utilizing Apache Tomcat and Java. Previous collaboration or work experience with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and service/help desk ticket platforms. Nice to Have Skills & Additional Duties Demonstrable expertise in software troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis. Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Expertise in developing and executing software test cases. Experience maintaining and upgrading existing software applications. Leadership experience within technical teams. Ability to estimate development effort for software requests.
