REMOTE Web Developer

Job Title Web Developer x2 Client: Walmart Location: Remote Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope? Building out a web team. There’s a web framework within Walmart and coming up to speed on. Need React and/or NextJS and need to be test savvy. They’re building an application from the ground up. This is a content management system called Tempo. They’re learning how to use it in conjunction with the One Web technology that Walmart has. It’s what is built on. Health and Wellness initiative is to build all health and wellness stuff onto the web. They will be refactoring some old stuff into the new system. Some of the design is still going on. It’s going to feel chaotic at the beginning but they’re going to work through it. This team will be consuming APIs. They won’t be writing the APIs. The people who are hired will have a voice in how APIs are shaped. GraphQL is most likely what they’re going to use. Having experience in using/shaping APIs is going to be helpful – not required though. What are the top must-have technologies/required experience for the position? React and/or Next.JS Core JavaScript Unit testing experience Preferred qualifications: Experience using/shaping APIs Needed Soft Skills/Company Culture: need more of a leadership personality. Collaborative. Need to help teach React but also need to know how to do it.
