This position is a part of the Renewables Engineering group which supports the technical development, design, and construction of large wind, solar, and energy storage projects throughout North America.

The goal of this internship program is to provide you with valuable engineering experience in the renewable energy industry.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, this position sits in Houston, TX is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

The safety of our employees is our number one priority. All employees at ENGIE have both a duty and the authority to STOP WORK if unsafe acts are observed

What youll do:

  • Participate in engineering design review for utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and energy storage)
  • Participate in multi-discipline team meetings to further your understanding of different engineering disciplines
  • Support development of engineering specifications
  • Learn about various stages of a renewable projects life cycle (development, construction, and operations)
  • Learn about different technical aspects of a project (Protection Relays, SCADA, Substations, Transmission, Underground Collection)
  • Attend site visits to support design reviews, construction review and commissioning activities as needed
  • Carries out other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in electrical/civil engineering or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.

Additional Information/Conditions:

  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIEs policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
