• Title: Repair Technician
• Location: Deming, New Mexico
• Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (DOE)

As a Repair Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping New Mexico’s rest areas safe, functional, and welcoming by:

• ????️ Performing repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems
• ???? Diagnosing and troubleshooting facility and equipment issues
• ???? Training rest area staff on proper maintenance procedures
• ???? Operating and maintaining equipment (mowers, tractors, man lifts)
• ????️ Completing carpentry, stucco, concrete, and structural repairs
• ???? Maintaining irrigation and water systems, including pumps and septic systems
• ???? Ensuring all work meets safety, cleanliness, and contract compliance standards

Your expertise ensures travelers experience safe, reliable, and well-maintained rest areas across the region.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 5 years experience in general trades
• HVAC, electrical, or electronics experience preferred

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must pass:
  • MVR check
  • General background check
  • OIG/CMMS Exclusions screening

✔ Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
✔ Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and construction trades
✔ Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
✔ Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
✔ Ability to operate heavy equipment safely (vehicles up to 26,000 BVM)
✔ Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and reliable
✔ Bilingual (Spanish) a strong plus!
